Norfolk
House, Earl Soham in Suffolk is a recent A James Baldry
bespoke kitchen. The
clients, Mr and Mrs Grose and their two children, chose AJB because of
personal recommendations from previous AJB clients.
It
took three years for the design brief to crystallise but then just a
week to be fitted. Mrs Grose, an ex Saatchi and Saatchi
person with an eye for design, created a design book, ie a collection of
magazine pictures, fabric and colour samples, photos, sketches, in fact
anything that helped specify the design.
The
design could be called traditional, finished by hand painting and lacquering,
and has granite and Iroko hard wood work surfaces. Jim was
particularly pleased with the
cutlery drawer, and the manufactured
waste
bin that takes a standard dustbin bag to reduce trips outside.
Like all AJB kitchens the units are individually made giving a proper
fit, as round the
vertical beam in this kitchen, and blending well with
the Aga, the
belfast
sink, and discretely masking the integral
fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine.
